Thin veils and amazing boys

Hugo and Angus, your posts were beautifully written. I too, have been thinking a lot about the boy and the women 'on the line' and the scale of hopelessness. Their stories have affected me deeply and I am not even there.

Angus' eloquent concept of the "thin veil of craziness" happens in different guises all over the world. Even in leafy, clean and privileged places, a thin veil of pretence can hide many private hurts and scars. Through this Indian experience, all you boys are learning the important art of being able to see through it. Armed with that gift, you will always have the ability to help others.

I am a bit worried about my boy - and Ben T and Callum too - despite Mr Skeen's assurances. I trust you have all woken feeling a lot better for getting it out of your system. Reilly, I hope sending you a virtual mother's hug isn't too embarrassing for you. XOXO

I am off to try Hamish's smiling experiment :)
