Christmas gifts

Well - at approximately the same time you were opening letters from home on the train, we here in the Moses household opened our first Christmas present - which was the letter from you Christopher. It brought a good deal of smiles to all our faces as we thought about you and how much we miss having you here despite knowing that you are having a wonderful time in India . And despite the very nice material gifts given and received, the letter from you was so much more important and heartwarming. I guess that is one of the lessons you have also been taking on board.  We did all laugh at the opening line of your letter which was somewhat prophetic ..."As you know, writing letters and keeping in contact with people is not my strong point, at least not with family.." We are all looking forward to hearing your voice and catching up a bit by telephone later today. As one of the other parents said, we feel like we have gotten to know all you boys through your blogs - your different personalities come through in what you write. And of course that applies to Mr Skeen also, who does seem from this end at least to make the Energiser bunny seem pathetically lethargic!  It is pouring with rain outside at the moment - with more predicted - but it has not dampened our spirits. Wishing you all a safe trip, some sleep, and a memorable Christmas day.
