I too, like Jo, awoke this morning in anticipation of what the blog might bring. Reading a quick e-mail from my boy and the blogs of the others sent me off on my Saturday morning walk through Cornwall Park with a smile on my face and joy in my heart. I am continually amazed at what you manage to pack into this trip, in spite of dodgy train timetables and even dodgier eating establishments.
Those of us here at home can't help but notice the difference between the blogs in the peacefulness of Varanasi and those from the busy streets of Kolkatta and Delhi. It seems as if you are all thriving on the adventure and chaos, but have struggled with the quieter and slower pace that allows thoughts of home. Here was I expecting that you would all relish the relative luxury and calmness of Varanasi, enjoy the comforts and perhaps even be a little reluctant to move on. But no, not this group of intrepid tourers. Auckland is going to seem so boring when you all get back.
