Giving Hope and Having Fun

It sounds like your last day in Kolkata was a special one.  I'm so glad you were able to spend some time with those little people and contribute to giving them hope.  When it is all stripped away it seems that you are able celebrate what it is to be human - the joy, the pain, the connection with another person - even if you don't know them at first. Those smiles and warmth - and smiles are free.

Thank you Sam for posting such a thoughtful Blog yesterday.  I can't believe you survived the Kolkata version of Delhi Belhi.  Are you actually eating anything?

The weather has been superb here - 29 degrees, no wind and sunny.  Perfect for putting trailer loads of bark on the garden and cutting down trees.  We are looking forward to it all packing in at Christmas when we are at the beach!

We're loving the blogs - and the photos thanks!  I couldn't resist posting this one - it sums up your last day in Kolkata.
