Varanasi has given us warm showers, our own beds and ample time to relax and recharge after a full on week in Kolkata, which was an amazing emotional rollercoaster. It has also given me time to process the emotion of the week, such as the post apocalyptic feel that surrounded the completely run down community for boys that we visited on the final day in Kolkata. It almost seems unfair that we left all those we visited in Kolkata and we were able to move on to the next part of the programme, whilst they are still struggling in their harsh living conditions.
It is really exciting to be visiting Agra and the Taj Mahal. New Delhi also promises to continue the emotional roller coaster which we will experience in the coming days. First however we have around a 14 hour train ride and a 5 hour bus ride to undertake before we arrive.
