Hey Harry and fellow kiwi explorers.
Just want to say how impressive your group's maturity, humility and enlightening distillation of this wondrous land and culture is! The depth of honesty and compassion being shared with those back here is so inspiring. Meanwhile, back in our little clean NZ bubble we are still running around, spending our short lifetime chasing that elusive financial security and keeping up with Jones (figuratively speaking of course) without even so much as a token thought for those surviving on a day for day, hour by hour basis. This is where you and all those lucky enough to have been immersed in such a land of culture extremes, can bring that knowledge, influence and eyes wide open outlook back to our micro bubble society and (even in a small way) help bring some sort of balance to our future generations lives, so we can all learn from your intrepid teachings.
Don't forget our protective bubbles are strong and hard to break through, but please don't give up breaking through ours on your return.
As we read your groups progression in this forum, it's is clear to us all that the 'older boys' selected are quickly becoming informed 'young Kiwi Men' that bring a lot to contribute our somewhat insulated society. Embrace, immerse, learn and teach.
