Governing Philosophy
The ethos behind the Auckland Grammar School Leadership Programmes is to develop young men of real character who possess the following qualities:
Confidence- a desire to be excellent, a high sense of self worth, calmness in the presence of pressure

Experience India is a structured immersion programme, which provides students with an opportunity to develop personal leadership skills in a foreign culture through working with those at the margins of society.
The purpose of the trip is to:
- Expose students to the experience of living in a different culture
- Provide opportunities for the students to work with those at the margins of society
- Visit the historical sites in India of international fame
- Explore the cultural history of a contrasting people
- Develop an understanding of one’s role in a global world
